The proposed grade will be published on the Politecnico “servizi on line” portal. Any student wishing to reject the grade should do it through the portal, within the publication period. After this deadline, the grade will be automatically consolidated and verbalised. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bioartificial liver. Researchers are engineering a bioartificial liver to temporarily replace hepatic function in patients with acute liver failure. The new strategy consists in the isolation and expansion of hepatocyte cells, in the form of spherical aggregates. They are seeded on a porous scaffold and then inserted inside a cartridge perfused using the patient plasma.
