Methods and Tools for Systematic Innovation AY20/21 Module C: Knowledge and Intellectual Property Management (13/1/21) Exercise In the transport of freshly baked food products, like pizza, a recurrent drawback is related to the inability of the package to keep the crispness of the food, which during the delivery often becomes soggy and cold. Attracted by the extent of the potential market, an entrepreneur propos es a disposable cardboard package with opening vents to allow the passage of the vapor generated by the baked food and a laminated foil of metal (or other thermally insulating material) to keep the food warm. To assist the entrepreneur , some data and information need to be retrieved to support efficiently the technical development of its concept and to drive consistently the decision making process. The candidate is requested to perform the following analysis and to discuss its outcomes both from operational and strategic perspectives.
