In order to reduce emission of CO2 and to mitigate the greenhouse effect, two distinct trends are oc- curring: 1. The rapid growth of the electric car market [ 1]. (a non negligible part of CO2 emission come from road transportation) 2. The increasing employment of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind [2] The last trend, during last years, led to the growth of some problems like: grid’s instability, temporary energy de- mand/supply unbalance, need to build backup power plants (to join the peak demand). The main cause of all these problems is linked to the fact that these types of renewable sources are not predictable. According to IEA, that refers to the existing climate policy, to solve the above mentioned problems and in order to keep global warming below 2 degrees Celsius we need 266GW of energy storage by…
