2. Data we process
- account data: email address, password stored only in derived form, nickname and optional profile information;
- contribution data: files, academic classification, notes restricted to moderators and review status;
- community activity: ratings, reports and approved contributions;
- for authenticated users, up to 30 recently viewed study materials, including the date of the most recent visit and visit count, so that study context can be resumed; this history is private and is retained for up to 90 days. No browsing history is added for anonymous users;
- technical and security data: IP address, user agent, logs, login attempts and information needed to prevent abuse;
- analytics and advertising data collected through Google Analytics and, when enabled, Google AdSense.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process data to provide accounts and the archive, moderate content, protect the service, respond to requests and comply with legal obligations. The legal bases are performance of the requested service, legitimate interests in security and improvement of the site, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Google Analytics and Google AdSense
During the beta, Studwiz uses Google Analytics on eligible public pages for statistical continuity and aggregate traffic analysis, with a measurement destination separate from production. Administrative and private pages are excluded. Product events use predefined categories and do not include free-text searches, names, email addresses, document titles or document content. Google AdSense is not active at this stage; before any activation, the applicable consent-management measures will be introduced separately.
5. Service feedback
The Premium ADV Feedback Hub widget allows users to submit a comment voluntarily and, if desired, an attachment. The service receives the feedback type, text, URL and technical metadata of the page, an anonymous identifier limited to the session and, for authenticated users, a local pseudonymous identifier. Email addresses and profile names are not sent to the widget.
6. Service providers and transfers
We may use providers for hosting, networking, anti-spam protection, email, feedback collection, analytics and advertising. Google and other providers may process data outside the European Economic Area using the transfer mechanisms provided for under applicable law.
7. Retention
Account data is retained while the account remains active and for as long as necessary to handle requests or obligations. Sessions expire automatically. Security logs and login attempts are retained for limited periods. Approved study materials may remain in the archive after a profile is closed unless removal is justified or another legal basis applies.
8. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and withdraw consent where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
9. Minors
Accounts are intended for people aged at least 13. Where the law requires a higher age for independent consent, authorisation from a person with parental responsibility is required.
