La corrente di drain ID scorre in R 3, quindi R3ID+|Vgs|= 5V-2,5V=2,5V. Se il transistore è saturo sarà ID=150µA . La tensione di drain è IDRL=0.75V, coerente con l’ipotesi. La corrente è costante se il transistor resta saturo, quindi V(R L)≤V G+|V t| =3,3V, cioè RL≤3,3V/150µA=22kΩ . 2) La caduta su R L è inferiore a quella del punto 1) quindi il transistore è saturo.
