ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PROCESSES (B) – 5 Credits Prof. Mateo Strano Exam 29.01.2024 Politecnico di Milano Simple numerical ques�ons Companies A, B, C and D are compe�ng with each other. They manufacture small metal automo�ve parts (nuts, bolts and washers) by conven�onal metal forming processes (cold forming). Their produc�on can be divided in families or groups (e.g. dented washers, threaded screws with flat head, etc.). Each family is made of several different dimensional items. Every item requires a different metal forming tool set. All of the parts are made of low alloy, heat treatable steel. Numbers are in the table atached.
