Your colleague tells you she wants to involve students in a test like the Turing test. Students must play against human and artificial opponents and then must identify whether the player they play against was a human or an artificial intelligence. Setup: Students will play three chess games against three different opponents utilizing a desktop computer in a completely isolated room. Students will not be able to communicate with anyone, including the opponent player; they will only be able to start a game and move the pieces until the game ends. The opponents will be randomly selected, and they will be either human chess players of different skill levels or a computer program playing at a randomly selected skill level.
