La stabilità segue l’ordine inverso rispetto a quello dei carbocationi, l’effetto induttivo dell’alchile destabilizza la carica negativa, più è sostituito e meno è stabile il carboanione. Prima la conformazione eclissata Me-Me, poi quella eclissata Me-H, poi il conformero sfalsato gauche Me-Me ed infine quello anti.
