Problem A (8 points) Consider the Input-Output Table (IOT) of a generic national economic system provided in the “Problem A” tab of the Excel file. All transactions are expressed in monetary currency (millions USD). Providing the necessary analytical expressions and related elaboration, it is required to: 1. (2 pt) Check if the table is balanced, calculate the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the represented system and its electricity mix by source based on the total economic electricity production. 2. (1 pt) Calculate the technical coefficient matrices for both value added and intermediate transactions. According to the national electricity strategy, the country is expected to invest 1 billion USD per year to install new Solar & Wind capacity.
